In the 2019-2020 season, the Greek international Opposite started the season in Thessaloniki for Iraklis. In January, however, he was transferred to Iran's Shahdab Yazd in the midst of a turbulent period for Iran. He became the second Greek to play in this country after Andreas Frangos. The Tehran team was in 11th place in the standings and with the addition of the Greek athlete, it aimed to enter the top 8 teams.

Two months later, the Covid-19 pandemic and the rapid rise in cases led to the suspension of the championship in Iran. Tzioumakas left the team with the suspension of the championship while Shahdab Yazd was in the 9^th place of the championship.
