In the summer of 2017, the NBA partnership with Nike began and since then all the teams have renewed their appearances thanks to the American company.

The Raptors, after a very good regular season, finished 2^th in the Eastern Conference behind the Bucks. In the playoffs they got an impressive qualification that came in the 7^th game of the East semifinals against the 76ers. With Leonard buzzer beater in the last game of the series, the Raptors qualified.

After beating the Bucks 4-2 in the East finals, they faced the previous champions in the finals, the Golden State Warriors. The Canadians were impressive and with MVP Kawhi Leonard and 4-2 victories they won the NBA title for the first time.
