The 2020-2021 season was as difficult for the Women's Volley League as the previous one. The championship was held in a new form. The 14 teams were divided into two groups in order for the top 3 of each group to qualify for the final round, a mini championship of 6 teams. Panathinaikos, with many changes in its roster, started with a defeat in Thessaloniki by Aris, continued with a victory over Ilysiakos and Lamia and then lost to AO Thira.

Then, after the 4^th game, the championship was interrupted due to lockdown, with the result that many athletes, both from Panathinaikos and the other teams, left for foreign teams. The championship restarted after a long delay, after 3 months but was stopped again and permanently in the 11^th fixture of the first round. After the final suspension of the Volley League, the Greek Cup was organized where Panathinaikos reached the semifinals where it was defeated 2-3 by AO Thira.

Sofia Kosma was for the third consecutive year a member of the Panathinaikos team and even the captain. However, after the suspension of the championship in the 4^th round, she continued her career in Switzerland and VC Kanti Schaffhausen winning the Swiss Cup. In the four games she managed to play in the 2020-2021 season, she was one of the top players of the team, although Panathinaikos did not start the season well. This jersey was worn twice in the championship, against Aris and Lamia, as well as in some friendly matches. The white jersey of 2020-2021 was the same as the 2019-2020 season with the difference that in 2020-21 there was no "OPAP" sponsor at the front while behind there were two new sponsors compared to last season, Panathinaikos TV and the "NIKAS".
