2020-2021 was not a good season for Atromitos. The team of Peristeri started the season under the coach of the Austrian Damir Canadi but due to the bad results it was replaced in February by Savvas Pantelidis.

Despite the remarkable roster, Atromitos did not manage to enter the first six places that led to the playoffs. Finishing in 10^th place, with just 6 wins in 26 games, Atromitos continued in the playouts. Atromitos improved and did not risk relegation. After the end of the playoffs, it was in 8^th place (37 points) behind Volos (43 points).

In the Greek Cup, which took place only with the 14 teams of the Super League due to Covid-19, Atromitos faced PAS Giannina in the first round. With a 2-2 draw in Zosimades in the first match and with a 2-3 victory of PAS in Peristeri, Atromitos was eliminated early.

This jersey was the third in a row that Atromitos wore in the 2020-2021 season. For many it was considered one of the worst worn in the Greek championship due to the intense color combinations but nevertheless remains special. Charis Charisis wore this shirt in several games of that period but unfortunately for him the season ended prematurely due to his serious injury in the playout game against Apollon Smyrnis. Charis Charisis had 25 appearances and 1 goal this season.
