Sevilla participated in the Europa League and were again one of the favourites. Sevilla finished in first place in Group A against APOEL, Qarabağ and Dundelange, while in the Round of 32 with a 1-1 away draw and 0-0 draw in Seville against Cluj, they advanced to the next phase. That was the period when the pandemic led to a total lockdown worldwide. Those of the first round of 16 games that had been played were led to second game with the end of the lockdown and the resumption of the competition in the summer of 2020. Sevilla's first match against Roma had not been played and belonged to the category of games that qualification was decided in a match on neutral ground. The Spaniards prevailed 2-0 and advanced to the quarterfinal.

Ο Ντε Γιονκ σκόραρε ξανά στο 33’ αλλά τρία λεπτά αργότερα ο Γοδίν έκανε το 2-2 για την Ίντερ. Στο 74’ ο Ντιέγκο Κάρλος επιχείρησε ένα εντυπωσιακό ανάποδο ψαλίδι, η μπάλα κόντραρε στον Λουκάκου και έγινε το 3-2 που ήταν και τελικό σκορ. Έτσι, η Σεβίλλη κατέκτησε και πάλι τον τίτλο, για πέμπτη φορά στην ιστορία της.

This jersey is one of those that Genaro Rodríguez had at his disposal in the final. The Spaniard did not play in the final while he only made one appearance in that season's Europa League.
