Markopoulo had a solid run in the 2022-2023 season in the Women's team while also experiencing success in the U20 team in which many athletes from the women's team competed.

In the Volley League, Markopoulo was once again in the playoffs. After 22 races and 9 wins, the team finished in seventh place. The most important victory of all was the one achieved with 3-1 at the home of Panathinaikos, who won the championship a little later. In the quarter-finals, Markopoulo was defeated twice by AEK with the same score, 3-0, and failed to qualify for the top four of the championship. In the Greek Cup, Markopoulo was defeated 0-3 by PAOK in the quarter-finals and did not qualify for the Final 4.

At the same time, the U20 team of Markopoulo performed an excellent course. Won the Greek Championship beating PAOK, Aris and A.S.P. Apollon in the final phase. Seven of the athletes of the U20 team were at the same time executives of the women's team with several of them having a key role in it.

Valia Evangeliou was an active member of the women's team and captain of the U20 team. In the Volley League championship, she participated in 17 matches while at the same time she was named MVP of the U20 Championship and was the first to lift the trophy. This jersey was worn in all competitions. It is characteristic that her first name is written on the back and not her last name, while the team badge honors the club's 30+ year history.
