A season with many and intense emotions was 2022-2023 for Panathinaikos. The Greens started the season in the mood to chase every title and in the end celebrated two.

Panathinaikos beat PAOK 3-1 for the Super Cup while in double matches they won the "Nikos Samaras" League Cup by beating Olympiakos home and away 3-2. The second final, in fact, took place at OAKA where Panathinaikos' friends created a very beautiful atmosphere.

Despite this, in the Volley League, Panathinaikos was in third place after 18 games. This brought him against PAOK with a home disadvantage in the semi-finals.
