AO Thiras started the 2022-2023 season with the aim of reaching as high as possible in the Volley League and the Greek Cup. The Santorini team changed many faces in the roster compared to the previous season as well as the coach.

Coached by Serb Vladimir Vasovic, AO Thiras had a good run in the regular season. After 22 races they achieved 12 wins and collected 37 points finishing in fifth place. PAOK, AEK, Panathinaikos and Olympiacos were the top four in the standings. Despite this, AO Thiras met Olympiakos in the quarter-finals and with two defeats (1-3 and 3-0) failed to qualify for the semi-finals. On the contrary, in the Cup the team managed to qualify for the Final 4 after the victory over Olympiakos with 3-1. In the semi-final the opponent was Panathinaikos who eliminated the Santorini team 3-0 without winning the Cup in the final against AEK.

AO Thiras used jerseys with a different design in the 2022-2023 season. The team wore a blue sleeveless jersey as well as this slim sleeved jersey with a particularly tight fit. Ljubica Kecman was one of the team's top players this season and was often in the top seven of the competition. She used this jersey throughout the season in the league and Cup matches.
