The 2022-23 league was one of the most competitive. Panathinaikos and AEK claimed the championship until the last matchday with the greens not finally managing to win the title.
Panathinaikos started the championship impressively. In the first 10 matches had 10 wins, while the first defeat came in January in the derby against AEK. In the First Phase of the championship, Panathinaikos finished first with 61 points, 2 more than AEK. In the playoffs, however, Panathinaikos started with a draw against AEK with 0-0 and with Volos also with 0-0. Despite the streak of four victories, draws followed with AEK and PAOK, while the defeat by Olympiakos one game before the end put an end to the effort of the greens to win the title. The last game against Aris was not decisive as AEK's victory over Volos gave the yellow and black the title.
In the Greek Cup, Panathinaikos may have eliminated Volos, but in the quarter-finals, they were first defeated by PAOK 2-0 and then drew with Thessaloniki 1-1, being eliminated.
Juankar was a key member of the team for the 2022-2023 season. He was in the starting lineup in 23 of 26 games in the first round and in all of the playoff games. He scored a very nice goal against PAOK, which was his only one for this season. This jersey was worn in league matches, with the specific patch on the sleeve, as a different patch was used in the Greek Cup. Kappa once again created a striped jersey for Panathinaikos. This time, however, it had a beautiful peculiarity. On the white stripes there were subtly the names of great players of the past in an attempt by Panathinaikos to honor great figures of the club.
