In Europe, Panathinaikos reached the Final 4 of the Top Teams Cup (current CEV Cup) in Mallorca and took third place.

Giorgos Stefanou was the team's main Libero until the 2008-2009 season. He then went to Olympiacos and later to PAOK. At 2020, Giorgos Stefanou returned to Panathinaikos.
