On November 25, 2020, Diego Armando Maradona passed away after many adventures with his health. This spread sadness all over the football world but mainly in Argentina but also in Napoli, where he grew up playing football and was worshiped as a god.

A few days later, in the first game of Napoli after the death of Maradona, the Italian team faced Roma at home. The team stadium would be renamed from San Paolo to Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. The team, in the match against Roma, to honor the memory of the man who gave it two championships, a UEFA Cup, an Italian Cup and an Italian Super Cup appeared with a shirt that was taken from the national team of Argentina. The color of Napoli is blue anyway but in this case the team's jersey had blue and white stripes, something reminiscent of Maradona's appearances with his national team.

The Kappa jersey was simple and elegant, without exaggeration, with the typical sponsors of the team, the patch on the chest which symbolized the conquest of the Italian Cup last season and of course the initials of the team on the back of the jersey, above the name of players (SSCN - Società Sportiva Calcio Napoli).

Napoli took the victory 4-0 with goals from Insigne, Ruiz Penia, Mertens and Politano and as expected they dedicated it to the memory of their favorite Diego.
