Civitanova has been one of the biggest forces in Italian and European volleyball in recent years. From 2012 onwards, the former Macerata, has in its name the sponsor Cucine Lube.

The Italian team, which in 2002 had won its first CEV Champions League against Olympiakos, played in the finals of the top club competition in both 2018 and 2019. In 2018, Zenit Kazan won its 4^th consecutive title. In 2019, however, Zenit and Civitanova were again the two finalists of the CEV Champions League where the one was no longer in Final 4 but double semifinals and a single final. In the final in Berlin, Civitanova with the absolute leader its leader, Osmany Juantorena, prevailed 3-1 and won the title of European champion.

The year was ideal as Civitanova won both the Italian championship and the Italian Cup, while a few months later won the Club World Cup.

This jersey is worn in the Italian championship by Diego Cantagalli. The corresponding patch of Serie A is printed on the sleeve. It is characterized by the many sponsors, as is usually the case with the jerseys of Italian teams. On the left sleeve there is also the slogan #noisiamoLube (we are Lube) while its characteristic is that it is very elastic and made of very light material.
