A very good jersey from a very bad year in Greece and Europe for Panathinaikos. This jersey was worn by Sotiris Leontiou in the match against Barcelona away. Despite a very good 0-0 game at OACA , Panathinaikos crashed 5-0 at Camp Nou. The point of reference for that match is that Leo Messi scored for the first time in the Champions League.

Panathinaikos once again wore the white shirt in Champions League that season, in the away game against Werder Bremen where the Germans prevailed 5-1. The Cosmote logo, however, was different and the jersey with that logo was worn until the end of October. The Greens finished Champions League games with just one win (2-1 against Werder in Athens) while also losing twice to Udinese, 3-0 to Udine and 1-2 to Athens.
