Panathinaikos in the 2007-2008 season won the fourth consecutive Greek Championship in women's volleyball as well as the Greek Cup after an impressive year.

In the championship, Panathinaikos finished at the top of the standings without any defeat in the regular season. In the playoffs, greens eliminated Iraklis Thessaloniki and Iraklis Kifissia, respectively, and found themselves in the finals against Olympiakos. Although Olympiakos prevailed in the first two finals, it needed another victory. Panathinaikos won 3-0 in the third final. In the quarter finals the game was led to the tie break. Olympiakos reached a match point, one point away from winning the championship. However, the team of Takis Floros turned the game around and took the victory with 2-3. In the fifth and decisive final, in an impressive atmosphere at the Leoforos Alexandras, at the "Tomb of the Indian",Panathinaikos with an impressive performance took the victory with 3-0 and with it the championship.

In addition, the greens won the Greek Cup in the Final 4 of Ierapetra. With 3-2 Panathinaikos beat Olympiakos in the semifinal while also with 3-2 Panathinaikos prevailed over Markopoulos in the final, having MVP the leader Ruxi Dumitrescu (21 points).

This jersey was worn during the season during which Panathinaikos celebrated its 100th anniversary. For this reason the names of the athletes and the numbers were golden. In addition, the athletes used nicknames or their first names on his jerseys and did not use adjectives as usual. Anna Karpouza used this shirt during the season.
