In the 2018-2019 season, AEK played in Pre League. In the same category that season, both Panathinaikos and PAOK played, having all three teams very strong rosters. Only two teams, however, could promote to the Volley League, one as Pre League champions and one through play offs. PAOK finished first in the regular season. The second Panathinaikos and the third AEK were faced in the "finals" of the play offs. Panathinaikos with 2-0 victories promoted to Volley League.

Angeliki Kavvadia played for the first time with AEK in the 2018-2019 season. She was the main Middle-blocker and played in almost all the games of the season having a consistently good presence.

This jersey was worn in several games that year even though it was the team's second jersey. Its color was inspired by the colors of Byzantium while as many groups applied it had the Greek points on the right side.
