The 2019-2020 season was that of the Covid-19 season with the result that the volleyball championships were not completed. Panathinaikos returned to the Volley League and with a very good squad (Economidou, Vergidou, Kosma, Dioti etc) was aiming for a title. The greens had a very good season until the end of the championship and was in 3^th place, behind AO Thiras and Olympiakos.

In the Greek Cup, Panathinaikos hosted Olympiakos in the quarterfinal. With the game at 2-2 in sets and Olympiakos in match point, 13-14, Economidou attack but the referee gave wrong outs while the ball fell on the line. The video check did not work and so Olympiakos qualified for the Final 4 of the Cup. However, the final 4 never took place due to the pandemic.

Economidou played for the second consecutive year at Panathinaikos in 2019-2020. She was the main opposite of the team and played in all the games of the season while with 222 points she was one of the top scorers in the league. This jersey was worn throughout the season and was the first of Panathinaikos' collaboration with macron.
