After a long period of financial problems, Besiktas not only won the Turkish Championship 2015-2016 but managed to retain the title next year. With the impressive Portuguese Ricardo Quaresma and other talented players on its roster, Besiktas finished in first place with 77 points, 4 more than Başakşehir.

The white jersey was the one used mainly in the home games at Vodafone Park by Besiktas. As is usual in the Turkish league, the names of the players are written below the number and high on the back of the jersey there is a sponsor. Adidas created a very elegant and simple jersey for the "black eagles" which finally turned out to be lucky.
