In the 2013-2014 season, Panetolikos participated for the 4th time in the top division after returning to the Super League after being relegated in 2012. The team of Agrinio made the best season in its history, finishing in 8th^th place in the standings, equal to Levadiakos.

Panetolikos, coached by Makis Chavos, made several great appearances, as the 1-0 victory over Panathinaikos, a 2-0 victory over PAOK and a 0-0 draw with Olympiakos. In the Greek Cup the course of the team stopped early. Panetolikos eliminated Kerkyra in the 2nd round with two victories (1-0 and 0-1) but eliminated by Atromitos in the 3rd round with two defeats (0-2 and 2-0).

This jersey was worn in the game against Olympiakos in Agrinio where the two teams drew 0-0. In this game, actions and donations were made to the charity "The smile of the child" and the logo of the charity institution was on the jersey of Panetolikos. This shirt has never been worn in any other game and for this reason it is very collectible. Milan Bojović played on started 11 and was replaced by Sfakianakis in 82'.
