On January 26, 2021, Barcelona presented a beautiful video with its historical captain, Carles Puyol, in which the jersey that the Catalan team would wear in El Clasico against Real Madrid was presented. In a season when Barcelona lost many games in the first fixtures, the game against Real Madrid in “Alfredo Di Stefano” was decisive.

Real Madrid was better and was ahead early with goals from Benzema and Kroos. Oscar Garcia scored for Barcelona but this score (2-1) was the final and so Barcelona was far behind the top of the league. This shirt not only did not bring good luck in the derby but was worn once again, in the game against Atletico Madrid in Barcelona for the 35^th fixture. The final 0-0 brought Atletico very close to winning the championship, which they finally won.

The jersey was worn only in these two games and became one of the five used by Barcelona that year as the main one was the traditional blaugrana while there was still a black, a pink and a yellow one worn in the Copa Del Rey final. Nike's target was to combine the traditional blaugrana design with the red and yellow Catalan flag on this jersey. The resulting design was a very beautiful jersey which liked by the team fans. At the back, the Unicef logo was deliberately smaller to fit between the stripes and not distort the design.
