Panathinaikos started the Euroleague season in 2010-2011 in a passable group with Olympia Ljubljana, Efes Pilsen, Valencia, CSKA and Armani Milano. With 7 wins and 3 losses, Panathinaikos finished first and easily qualified for the top-16.

In the second round, the Panathinaikos group had Caja Laboral, Malaga and Lietuvos Rytas. Panathinaikos and Laboral equalized with 4 wins and 2 losses but the Basques were the ones who were superior in the tie. Thus, Panathinaikos crossed paths with the winner of Group B, Barcelona.

Barcelona, as the holder of the trophy and the host of the upcoming Final 4, was the big favorite for both the qualification and the conquest of the Euroleague. With the home advantage for the Catalans, the first two games took place in Barcelona. Panathinaikos came very close to the break in the first match but finally lost 83-82. In the second game, however, despite the fact that Barcelona was ahead in the beginning about 16 points the reversal took place and with 71-75 the greens got a very important victory. The series was transferred to Athens and OAKA was full. The third game was very marginal but in the end Panathinaikos won 76-74. The fourth game was also decisive since with 78-67 Obradovic's team got the third victory and with it the qualification to the Final 4 of Barcelona.

In the semifinal, Panathinaikos was much better than Siena and had the lead throughout the match. With the final 77-69, Panathinaikos qualified for the final against Maccabi. Since the greens had overcome the obstacle of Barcelona, they were now the big favorite and this was confirmed. Maccabi could not threaten Panathinaikos and with 78-70 and having Dimitris Diamantidis as the most valuable player of Final 4 won the sixth European.

The jersey of the 2010-2011 season was the same as last season with the only difference being the font and the numbers. There was the peculiarity that on the number of the jersey there was the signature of each player and for this reason when it was presented at the beginning of the year it was presented as a jersey-autograph. The white jersey was worn in the home games of the Greek championship while in the Euroleague it was worn mainly away from home, as in the playoffs against Barcelona. This version is the one that was released on the market and is based on the European version where the letters are in English and there is under the number "ATHENS". Also a key difference with the jersey is that the replica had the emblem on the left side of the chest instead of the right and lacked the Euroleague logo. Dimitris Diamantidis had an impressive season after winning in addition to the European and the title of MVP of Final 4, the MVP of the season, the award for best defender and was a member of the top five of the tournament and top in assists.
