The national team of Greece after Euro 2012 where it reached the quarterfinals had the challenge to qualify for the World Cup in Brazil. In a group with rivals Bosnia-Herzegovina, Lithuania, Slovakia, Latvia and Liechtenstein was one of the favorites.
