Greece qualified for the European Volleyball Championship for the second consecutive time with the organization of 2021 taking place in Poland, Czech Republic, Estonia and Finland. In the qualifiers, Greece qualified together with Montenegro in a group that still included Azerbaijan and Georgia.

In the finals of the European Championship, Greece was in the group Α with Poland, Serbia, Ukraine, Belgium and Portugal. This group was played in Krakow with the home Poles taking first place. Greece suffered five defeats in five games and got just two points. Specifically, it was defeated 2-3 by Ukraine, 3-0 by Belgium, 3-1 by Poland, 2-3 by Serbia and 3-1 by Portugal. Apart from Poland, Serbia, Ukraine and Portugal qualified. Greece, however, lost the opportunity to enter the quartet as even the last match with a 3-0 or 3-1 victory over Portugal would have qualified but this did not happen.

This jersey was worn only in qualifying matches, with Montenegro and Azerbaijan. Greece usually had three alternative jersey, light blue, dark blue and white. In the Eurovolley Greece wore only the white and dark blue jersey. Voulkidis was one of the middle blockers of the national team all the way from the qualifiers to the Eurovolley.
