IBB Polonia was founded by Poles Maciej Behnke and Henryk Pauliński in 1973 in London and has since competed in the Semiamateur English Volleyball Championship. Polonia was renamed IBB Polonia in 2013 due to the sponsorship of the Polish construction company of the same name, and since then it has started to monopolize the domestic titles, ensuring participation in the first rounds of the CEV Champions League.
IBB Polonia won the English Championship for the sixth time in the 2018-2019 season and reached the cup final where they lost to Durham. In addition, they won the NEVZA Clubs Championship, which is attended by Scandinavian teams, British as well as from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The conquest of NEVZA, an event that started in 2008, was the first for an English team as until then the conquests were monopolized by Scandinavian teams.
In the summer of 2020, IBB Polonia with its Greek coach Vangelis Koutouleas, but also the Swedish star Markus Nilsson in its roster, gave a series of friendlies in Athens. This jersey, which was used in the 2018-2019 season, was worn in friendly matches and that is why there is no player name. At the top is written the name of the team while there is a notice on the 45 years since the founding of the team.
