The Women's Volley League 2021-2022 was seen as the most competitive volleyball league after many years as there were many teams with very quality rosters that contested the Championship and the Cup. Thetis Voulas had a very good season scoring big wins throughout the year.

Thetis Voulas managed to beat almost all of its major rivals. They beat PAOK in Thessaloniki, AEK home and away, Aris, AO Thiras while it was difficult but was defeated by Panathinaikos and Olympiakos. After 26 matches Thetis was in 5^th place having achieved 19 victories. However, in the playoffs against Aris, they failed to qualify for the next round. They lost the first game in Voula with 1-3 and came close to the upset after winning in Thessaloniki with 0-3. In the golden set, however, Thetis lost 15-13 and failed to qualify for the semi-finals.

In the Greek Cup, Thetis managed to reach the Final 4 for the first time. They defeated AOF Porphiras 3-0 in the round of 16 and Lamia 3-2 in the quarter-finals. In the semi-final, in Heraklion, Crete, they lost 3-1 to AO Thiras and failed to reach the final for the first time.

In addition, Thetis competed for the first time in a European tournaments after participating in the CEV Challenge Cup. With two wins against Bratislava (0-3 and 3-0) they passed to the round of 32. There the opponent was very strong, the Italian Scandicci. Scandicci got two victories (3-0 and 0-3) and eliminated the Greek team.

Ceyda Aktaş played for the first time outside of Turkey on behalf of Thetis. The Turkish former international player was one of the team's best players and won the MVP award of the 5^th matchday for the game against AEK. Aktaş was in the starting six in almost all games of the season and excelled in most of them. The jersey has her signature and was used throughout the season in Greece and Europe.
