Serbian Nemanja Nedovic was acquired by Panathinaikos in the summer of 2020 at the start of a difficult year with many changes for the team.

Panathinaikos may have won the championship and the Greek Cup, with finals against Lavrio for the championship and against Prometheus for the Cup, but the course in the Euroleague was not good. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the games were held without spectators. In the Euroleague the greens finished 16^th πάνω από Ερυθρό Αστέρα και Χίμκι και πετυχαίνοντας 11 νίκες και 23 ήττες.

Panathinaikos chose for the second year in a row a black jersey as an alternative option and even wore it several times, including the games against CSKA Moscow and Khimki. Nedovic was absent from several games due to injuries but while he played he was very good. Finished the season with 16 ppg. in the Euroleague while he had 3.7 assists.
