The 2010-2011 season brought a big surprise to the Greek Cup. Atromitos had not a good run in the league finishing 11^th but in the Cup managed to reach the final for the first time in its history.

Atromitos started from the D Phase of the Cup and with 1-3 eliminated Anagennisi Giannitsa. In the round of 16, they faced Kavala at home and qualified 1-0. Afterwards, the quarter-finals took place in double matches and Atromitos defeated Diagoras Rhodes twice (2-0 and 0-1) and passed to the semi-finals. The last obstacle before the final was Olympiacos Volos and with a 2-1 win in Peristeri and a 0-0 draw in Volos, Atromitos advanced to the final.

In the final, Atromitos faced AEK in OAKA. Despite the good performance, Giorgos Donis' team was defeated. AEK won and the trophy 3-0 with goals from Lymberopoulos, Baha and Kafes. However, Atromitos made a great run which he repeated a year later.

This is one of the jerseys that Marek Saganovski had at his disposal. The Polish was starter in the final against AEK and played a key role on the road to the final. In the final, Atromitos used the match details of the match on the shirt, something that was not used until then in the finals of the Greek Cup.
