For the third consecutive year, VakifBank managed to reach the final of the CEV Champions League. The team from Istanbul claimed the sixth Champions League in its history and this time against an opponent from the same city.

Giovanni Guidetti's team overcame the obstacle of Polish ŁKS Commercecon Łódź and then Vero Volley Milano. Three teams from Turkey reached the semi-finals. VakifBank faced Fenerbahce and despite losing the first game 3-0 managed to win the second game with the same score and then win 15-12 in the golden set. Eczacıbaşı, on the other hand, eliminated Novara and also reached the final.

The 2023 Super Finals were hosted in Turin. The two Turkish teams were highly competitive but VakifBank managed to beat Eczacıbaşı 3-1 to win their second consecutive Champions League and sixth overall. The MVP of the final was the Italian Paola Egonou who performed impressively with 40 points.

This jersey is one of those that Brazilian team captain Gabriela Guimarães had at her disposal. Gabi was the MVP of the 2022 Champions League final and was one of the team's most decisive players in the following season as well. This shirt was used in several games of the season and is the signature of the Brazilian Outside Hitter. It is characteristic that the VakifBank team wore black in the Turin final, however, at the trophy ceremony, they appeared wearing the team's second jersey, the yellow one.
