Efes started the 2021-2022 season as the holder of the Euroleague aiming for the second consecutive distinction.

In the regular season, the Turkish team had more difficulties compared to the previous season. Efes with a record of 16-12 was in sixth place and this led them to the quarterfinals against Olympia Milano with a home handicap. Efes made the break in the first game and despite Milan's victory in the second, the series ended with 3-1 victories in favor of the Turks.

In the Final 4 in Belgrade, Efes would face Olympiakos in the first semi-final while Real Madrid would face Barcelona in the other. With Micic's three-pointer at the buzzer, Efes won 77-74 and advanced to the final. There Efes faced Real Madrid. The final was decided in the details and Real's mistakes at the end allowed Efes to win 58-57 and capture their second consecutive Euroleague trophy.

Rodrigue Beaubois has been one of the team's most important players throughout the season. In the Euroleague that season he had 35 appearances with 9.2 points per game and 1.9 assists. This jersey is one of the ones he had in the locker room at the 2022 Final 4. The patch used only in the Final 4 featured gold details as Efes was the previous year's trophy holder. In addition, underneath there is the oneteam logo which completed 10 years of life. Efes wore the same kit as the previous season however in the 2022 final, unlike in 2021, they wore the blue kits.
