The 2022-2023 season was a highly successful one for Vasas as the Budapest side completely dominated domestically while at the same time going the extra mile and finding themselves in the groups of the CEV Champions League.

Vasas started the season again with Giannis Athanasopoulos as coach. In the Hungarian championship, Vasas made an excellent run as after 14 matches they scored 13 victories and finished in first place. With an absolute advantage in the playoffs, it reached the finals without being defeated by MTK Budapest and Nyíregyháza. In the finals against Békéscsabai, they prevailed 3-0 in the series and emphatically won the championship for the second year in a row. In addition, he also won the Hungarian Cup for the third year in a row, beating Békéscsabai in the final 3-2.

In the CEV Champions League, the Budapest team eliminated Ghent and La Laguna and qualified for the competition's groups. There they came up against three very strong opponents, Imoco Volley Conegliano, Rzeszów and Mulhouse, and finished in fourth place with one point.

This jersey was used by Cecília Noémi Jámbor, Vasas Outside Hitter and was donated by her and the team's coach Giannis Athanasopoulos to our collection. Jámbor played in league and cup games, winning her the championship of her career and her second cup. The shirt had a custom design for Vasas as it had several elements of the team's identity. On the sleeves are the titles of the team, the one MEVZA Cup, the 7 championships and the 14 Cups that Vasas had won so far. In addition, on the left sleeve there is a logo dedicated to the previous season's treble while on the right sleeve there is the CEV Champions League patch in which the team participated. A nice detail is that in addition to Óbuda written on the back of the jersey to honor the region where the team is based, the full team name Vasas Óbuda is on the side on both sides.
